All,
I can’t wait to see everyone in Carrollton. I hope everyone is well. Happy reading.
Cheers,
Justin

As I sit down to compose events for the “wiser generation” Newsletter to send to Justin, I am unable to remember just what I wrote before. Perhaps, the phrase – “wiser generations”- as Justin describes us, is not politically correct!
My apologies if I am repeating news about down-sizing, selling the house, and my move to WMO in May??
After six months of settling-in – and a month off in July for family visits and to attend Justin’s wedding, I am beginning to “discover Westminster Oaks” – known as WMO – located here in Tallahassee, about 6 miles from where Abe and I lived in Forest Glen.
WMO is known as a retirement community, but I truly think what is meant by the word “Retirement” is retiring from the responsibilities of a house, yard, transportation, personal electrical repairs ( such as a lamp}, cleaning such as fall and spring cleaning, transportation to and from events in the City, as well as on WMO Campus – needs when ill, staff visits to hospital, rehab., etc. —— Of course not having to cook is my favorite!!
Everything one needs is located here on campus – a Boutique shop, inventory donated and run by volunteers; a small grocery store with goods bought and sold by volunteers at retail prices; beauty shop, barber shop; exercise and fitness center; A Health Center offering walk-in services, blood pressure checks , as well as drawing blood as requested, etc.
*****The Entertainment and activities offered are many. WMO has a close association with FSU, as well as the Community College, and benefits from all their offerings; and classes for a minimum fee. Buses are provided to attend functions offered on FSU Campus ,Tallahassee, and surrounding areas.
There is an Entertainment Director. Examples of some of the planned activities for this month: Storytelling Festival (both local and professional), Monday Night music, Opera, Wednesday Night Movies, Tacky/Ugly Sweater Day, Halloween costume-dance and food; The Nutcracker, Forums, motor coach trip to Atlanta to the Fox Theater , before theater dinner at Pitty Pat’s Front Porch ,and Atlanta Aquarium —— And- on- and- on.*****
I have three rooms and a kitchen, stove, refridge. One of my greatest pleasures is having Tricia and kiddies close enough for regular visits and me to their place.
I have a queen size blow up mattress with pump. The welcome mat is out – any time – no advance notice necessary for reservation. Nothing to bring, just come!
Happy Thanksgiving to all! – Sorry, I will not be with you at the farm.
Love each and all of you!

use I put wood in the kitchen. Can’t wait for you to see it.
Lu Lu
Guess I have said enough. Ryan probably won’t read this because it is too long.
I love you all!
Don’t want Lu to be the only article in the newsletter (and it is a break from cleaning out attic and closets). Exciting summer and fall for me. The birth of Anna E Johnson brings the total of my grandchildren to four. Great to watch Joe and April learn to be parents and Tricia and Tim chase their three from activity to activity. On a short trip to Tallahassee I enjoyed watching Bryan and Nora Grace play soccer. Bryan has learned to trash talk even if he is the smallest one on the team.
Lots of new experiences these past few months. Spent a week this August in St. Lucia and, thanks to Susan and Jeff for tickets, I have attended a couple of Alabama football games. Even shook a black and white shaker.
Back to looking through all this stuff. Amazing what can be collected over the years. Anyone wants beanie babies?
Looking forward to seeing everyone over the Holidays.
Love my family

Well its been a busy time since the last Gazette was published. Annette and I celebrated 35 years of marriage along with Lucy and Cory’s birthday on 10/11/15. We didn’t actually celebrate until last Friday with a nice dinner date at Ruth Chris.I have been working in Stanton Tn.,Gulfport Ms. and now Spring Hill Tn.with a week in Louisville Ky. in between. It has been busy at church with a new youth minister and a work day as part of the Facilities team. Annette and I spent last weekend in Orlando welcoming Carrisa Joy into the world. We had a great time with Mike’s parents,Leah,Annie and Mike’s brother Angelo’s family taking turns holding Carrisa and trick or treating.Annette is back in Orlando till Saturday to help out. I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving and spending some quality time in Carrollton with all who can be there
The fourth paragraph of my article seems to be “mixed” — Sorry, Justin
